Amber Johnson is a 22 year old woman with Cerebral Palsy. She enjoys writing poems and listening to music and helping people. Earlier this year Amber’s wheelchair was in the back of a car when she was in a rear end collision. As a result her wheelchair was damaged. Her insurance said that it would take four to six months for her to get it repaired at a cost of around one thousand dollars. Lift With Purpose heard Amber’s story and refurbished a wheelchair that was donated to us. Amber we at Lift With Purpose wish you all the best in the future. We know you will be awesome.
Reggie Cole is a Nashville Tennessee local and an huge sports fan and wrestling enthusiast. Reggie also has one of the most giving hearts I have ever encountered. He will literally do anything to help anyone. Reggie also has Cerebral Palsy as a result one of his legs is approximately six inches shorter then the other. This prohibits Reggie from doing things that involve walking or standing for extended periods of time. As a result he is often found watching his favorite team the Tennessee Titans from home rather then being at the game in person. Lift With Purpose heard this story and said no more. We built Reggie a "Titan Blue" Tilite TR wheelchair. It was truly an honor for us to build Reggie a chair that will allow him to attend all the sporting events he enjoys.
Nick Jones is twenty year old Colombia South America native who suffered a T-6 spinal cord injury as a result of a car accident several years ago. This left him paralyzed from the waist down. Medical care in South America not being anywhere near as readily available as it is in the United States Nick had been using an improperly fitted hospital style wheelchair since his injury. This was truly preventing his independence and the already major problem was only going to get worse. As faith would have it Nick found Lift With Purpose through Instagram and after nine months of working along side him we were able to obtain Nick a ultra light wheelchair through a local mobility equipment provider there in South America. This chair was designed to fit Nick's specific needs. He will now be mobile for years to come. Nick we at Lift With Purpose wish you all the best.
At Lift With Purpose the goal for each and every client we work with is to make them more independent. For some of our clients physical therapy is not the most effective way to increase there independence. These clients need proper fitting medical equipment to make the most out of every day. This however can be a challenge because with the most basic wheelchair designed for every day use costing approximately $3200 at the cheapest.
In order to ensure that no disabled person left less independent due to financial constraits Lift With Purpose started refurbishing previously owned ultra light wheelchairs designed for every day use. We start with a naked wheelchair frame and add all new parts, new paint, new wheels and new tires until a chair is prepared to start a new life with its new owner, and ready to be used for years to come. We call this aspect of our business Wheels With Purpose.
